Abstract: | Aerial and ground reconnaissance investigations within Exploration Licences 353 and 383 were carried out. Granitic, acid volcanic and sedimentary rock units were examined. The Norris Granite and Cliffdale Volcanics are essentially fresh and unaltered. No indications of significant mineralization within these rocks were found. Minor, base-metal mineralization is associated with shears, quartz veins and narrow greisens. The more significant of these occurrences are under claim to other parties. Anomalous radioactivity was not detected within the Westmoreland Conglomerate nor along the unconformity between this sedimentary unit and the underlying Cliffdale Volcanics. |
