Author: | Sewell, D |
Abstract: | Work completed during the last year included geological mapping and complilation of the previous data, regolith studies, geochemical sampling, RAB, posthole RAB drilling and RC drilling. The best result obtained from the lag sampling was 6ppb Au. The soils sampling failed to identify any mineralisation with anomalous samples. The best results from RAB drilling were obtained from the Tregony Prospect, 3m @ 143.4 g/t and 6m @ 28.7 g/t Au (3m composite). A series of narrow rod-like shoots were confirmed by drilling within the Thomas Prospect by RAB and also RC drilling with the highest results of 9m @ 1.55g/t. Low anomalism with best result of 290ppb was identified within Montague Duck and Trucks Prospects. Weak mineralisation (3m @ 1.90g/t) was intersected in Boco Prospect. The area still needs more surface sampling and RAB drilling. The potential for economic gold deposits is high. |
