Title: Final report for exploration licence 7521
Title Holder / Company: Otter Gold
Report id: CR1999-0284
Tenure: EL7521
Year: 1999
Author: Burgess, H
Abstract: 24/6/99: The tenement was initially granted to WMC who, during 1991 to May1997, acquired NTGS aeromagnetic data, collected 24 lag samples and drilled 43 RC holes. Results were low mainly due to the deep alluvial cover and the Antrim Plateau Basalts over lying the potential basement lithologies. A singular RC sample returned 24 ppb Au from a phyllite. The lack of work completed on the licence was in part due to continual discussion with the CLC regarding a sacred site protection agreement. The tenement was acquired by Otter/Acacia in 1997 and a detailed aeromagnetic survey was completed. No other work was done due to ALRA76 process not being completed. Because of an administrative error the tenements were not renewed. The licence area has been re-applied for by Otter under EL10411.
