Abstract: This report presents the initial interpretation of a reconnaissance airborne survey conducted from the 5th to the 15th of May, 1971 in the vicinity of Victoria River Downs, Northern Territory, for Australasian Minerals Incorporated. Approximately 2900 line miles of magnetometer, F400 electromagnetic and very low frequency (VLF) EM surveys were completed. The aircraft and geophysical equipment was operated by personnel of McPhar Geophysics Limited and the operation was organised by personnel of Geosearch Pty Ltd of 990 Wellington Street, West Perth. The aim of the report is to map the various F400 anomalies and to construct a possible regional depth contour of basement from the magnetometer traces. Included also is a resume of the VLF data obtained and an interpretation of two of the seven sheets.
