Abstract: | The tenements which are located within EL 8413, cover Mid-Proterozoic Tawallah Group sequences prospective for 'Stanton-style' Co-Ni-Cu deposits and stratabound copper mineralisation. Exploration work completed in 1994 involved drilling, geochemical sampling, Trial IP surveying and Nano TEM surveys, metallurgical investigation and preliminary mineralogical assessment of Stanton mineralisation. A total of 64 drill holes were drilled, and total of 684 lag samples of the Mineral Claims were assayed. Thirty seven samples from the Running Creek and Stanton Prospects alone were assayed by a multi-fraction orientation survey. A discrete ellipsoidal Co-Ni-sulphide mineralised zone was outlined at Stanton Prospect. At Running Creek Prospect, close-spaced drilling outlined structurally controlled, stratabound , disseminated chalcopyrite mineralisation. |
