Abstract: The 2 eastern blocks of EL 4820 were applied for as an ERL priop to its reduction. Exploration of ERL 85 aimed at the detection of gold mineralisation in an ironstone replacement body, typical of the Tennant Creek goldfield. A drilling programme was directed towards the testing of projected ore positions and continuation of the replacement ironstone bodies. All drill holes intersected ironstone where expected, though no holes returned significant grades. At Gigantic and Giant Moon results effectively preclude the possibility of a mineable orebody. Geophysical work indicated the presence of a 50m diameter body of conductive material beneath the old mine workings. Ground magnetics and Sirotem surveys were used to test aeromagnetic features.
