Abstract: Tenement thought to have potential for large Pb-Zn-Cu deposits such as those at McArthur River. Exploration model consisted of exploring a Bouguer gravity anomaly delineated by BMR, which was postulated to be a basin of McArthur Group pyritic shales. This interpretation was supported by the presence of low, ferruginous strike ridges of unknown origin. During the year, the gravity anomaly was further investigated, and the ferruginous ridges were geochemically sampled. No McArthur Gp sediments were identified in the prospect. The gravity anomaly is attributed to a basement block of marine metavolcanics probably belonging to Murphy Metamorphics. The ferruginous ridges are believed to be laterised iron ridges or ultramafic lavas. No further work proposed.
