EL 675 Flapper Hill, annual report, for the year ending Ist November 1976

Abstract

Area covered by EL 675 was explored for base metal mineralisation. It includes geological mapping, geophysical surveys, drilling and assaying of drillhole samples. A transitional zone of low grade primary base metal mineralisation was found, in addition to low garde mineralisation within fractured dolomitic sandstone. Structural control appears to be important and suggests that high grade mineralisation is confined to north-trending shears. A shallow seismic refraction survey was conducted to assist in structural and strategarphic interpretation of the area. 25 percussion-diamond holes were drilled. Lithological and gamma logs of the drillholes are included in the report. Selected drillhole samples were assayed for Pb and Zn and subjected to palynological investigation.
