Abstract: The Antrim Project Area is considered prospective for Noril'sk-style Ni-Cu-PGE sulphide deposits. Exploration in the 2004 year focused on detecting possible sulphide mineralisation associated with interpreted sill-like features (adjacent to the Neave Fault) which may have acted as feeder conduits for Antrim magma. A total 24.8 line km of in-loop transient electromagnetic surveying was conducted over two separate grids. Grid 3 comprised 13.6 line km of traversing over 2 lines with 400m-spaced stations using a 200x200m transmitter loop. Grid 4 comprised 11.2 line km of traversing over 2 lines with 400 m-spaced stations using a 200x200 m transmitter loop. Preliminary scanning of the TEM data has identified sub-surface conductors of potential interest. However, at the time of writing, no detailed modelling of the data had been undertaken. In 2005 detailed modelling of the electromagnetic data will be undertaken with a view to defining targets for drill testing.
