Abstract: The Solitaire Project is centred approximately 430 kilometres northwest of Alice Springs and 100 kilometres southeast of The Granites Gold Mine in the Tanami Region, Northern Territory. EL 10217 is part of the Solitaire Project. The tenement was granted to Tanami Exploration NL (TENL) on 27 September 2000 and an outright surrender was lodged on 7 September 2004. TENL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tanami Gold NL (TGNL), a publically listed company. Goldfields Australasia Pty Ltd (GFA) joint ventured into the Solitaire Project in 2000 and carried out extensive aircore / RAB drilling, lag and rock chip sampling, and an aeromagnetic, radiometric and digital elevation survey over EL 10217. Neither the drilling nor the surface geochemistry located any significant mineralisation and GFA withdrew from the joint venture in 2001. Over the life of the lease, 20 rock chips and 155 lag samples have been taken. 96 RAB holes for 4156 m and 38 aircore holes for 3078 m have been drilled. TENL assessed previous drilling and completed Aircore drilling over the south western and southern target areas on EL 10217. No significant gold mineralisation was intersected and the tenement was recommended for relinquishment.
