Abstract: | The Jawatawata Group Mineral Leases C109-116 are located in an area centred approximately 50 kilometres south of the township of Tennant Creek. Newmont Gold Exploration Pty Ltd (Newmont) holds the Greenwood tenements (MLC109-116). Exploration for all MLC's is managed and funded by Newmont. The area of the leases has potential to host Tennant Creek-style Au-Cu deposits. Previous work has included AMAG that has defined the presence of significant magnetic anomalies and diamond drilling that has intersected ironstones with Cu-Au mineralisation. Work conducted by Newmont on these leases during the period 26th September 2003 to 25th September 2004 was limited to regional data review and on going negotiations with the CLC working towards the granting of proximal and adjacent Exploration Licence Applications. |
