Abstract: The Solitaire Project is centred approximately 430 kilometres northwest of Alice Springs and 100 kilometres southeast of The Granites gold mine in the Tanami Region, Northern Territory. The Solitaire Project comprised four tenements, which were granted to Tanami Exploration NL (TENL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tanami Gold NL (TGNL) on 27 September 2000. Subsequently TENL surrendered ELs 10398 and 10399 in August 2003 and EL10217 in September 2004, with only EL10216 remaining. During the fourth year of tenure Tanami Gold Exploration Pty Ltd assessed last year's drilling, which had identified several low order gold anomalies in two target areas. TENL carried out some reassaying and relogging of 71 samples from 6 holes. The best assay result was 31ppb Au from 51m in SLA038, which occurs within the clay zone. Overall only two of the anomalous gold assays in the north-eastern area appear to be associated with residual vein quartz (SLA042, 043). Other samples in this area as well as samples of the gold anomalies in the north-western area are of indeterminate residual or transported origin.
