Abstract: | This annual report describes all work carried out by Joint Venturers BHP Billiton and Mithril Resources on EL 9695, Mount Doreen E, Andrew Young Project during the annual period ended 13 May 2004. Exploration work on the tenement is aimed at discovering Proterozoic ultramafic related Ni-Cu mineralisation. Work during the period focussed on following-up anomalies identified from the airborne EM data flown by BHPB in 1999. Moving loop ground EM surveys over eight priority anomalies indicated that they were produced by near surface conductors, not from bedrock sources. Consequently these targets could not be considered valid drill targets. Regional ground gravity surveys were undertaken late in the reporting period in an attempt to define 'new' drill targets. |
