Abstract: | This is the third annual report for tenements of the McFarlane 2 Agreement (ELs 10138, 22178, 22228, 22229 & 22378). Tenements were granted on the 8/06/2001 for a period of six years. The Exploration Licences are located between 30 km and 50 km south west of the Tanami Mine. This is the third year of tenure. During the third year of tenure work to be reported was minimal and included relinquishment of ground within EL10138 and one rockchip within EL22178. Field reconnaissance within EL22178 including rock chipping. A surface quartz vein was taken from the prospect known as Casa and returned a gold value of 0.54 ppm Au. These Licences were included in the 'new' structural interpretation of the Tanami. The main reason for the shortfall in activity on these licences was that other regions with in the Northern Tanami being designated higher priority targets. |
