Final report for MCC 1146 - 1149 'Butchers Waterhole', for the period 30th December 1993 to 31st December 2003

Abstract

Mineral Claims C1146 - C1149, referred to as the 'Butchers Waterhole' Claims, are located in the Short Range area, north of the true Butchers Waterhole. Mineral Claims C1146 - C1149 are located in the Rosella Project Area, one of a number of areas flanking the Tennant Creek mineral field which were being explored under the terms of Giant Reef's Alliance with Billiton Exploration Australia Pty Ltd. During 2001, Billiton's parent company merged with BHP to form BHP Billiton. This report details the exploration work carried out on the Mineral Claims C1146 - C1149 Butchers Waterhole, during their ten years of tenure until their expiry on the 31st December 2003. Activities over the ten years of tenure of Mineral Claims C1147-C1149 included literature reviews, data evaluation, geophysical assessment, CLC access clearances and tenement reviews. No onground exploration was conducted over the Claims by Giants Reef, and no prospect areas for follow up drilling was identified within the Claims. For these reasons, combined with Giants Reefs initiative to reduce the amount of tenements held by the company, Giants Reef did not renew the Mineral Claims C1147-C1149 at the end of their second tenure. On surrender, the Mineral Claims C1147-C1149 were subsumed by Giants Reef's Exploration Licence 9909 Star Wars, and future exploration will be conducted under that Licence.
