Title: | Second year relinquishment report for EL 10129 'Alexander', for the period 20th March 2001 to 19th March 2003 |
Title Holder / Company: | Giants Reef Exploration |
Report id: | CR2003-0169 |
Tenure: | EL10129 |
Year: | 2003 |
Author: | Cahill, J Russell, R |
Abstract: | EL 10129 was acquired to search for large bse metal deposits based on regional gravity anomaly, centered in the area. The area was explored under the Alexander Project, in association with BHP-Billiton. Additonal geophsical work did not reveal any magntic or granity feature which may have warranted further exploration by drilling. Ground water geochemical sampling did not discover any anomaly for base metal mineralisation. At the end of the second year of tenure, the licence area was reduced from 13 blocks to 6 blocks. The relinquished area is considered to have very low potential for base metals or Tennant Creek style Au-Cu-Bi mineralisation. |
