Abstract: | EL 8824 Officer Hill and EL 9616 Tin Can, forms part Southern Tanami Project. The tenements were granted to AngloGold Australia Limited on the 23 March 2001 for a period of six years. Following a detailed data compilation, geological review and first pass exploration, partial relinquishment's on EL 8824 and EL 9616 of forty one (41) blocks and a one (1) block respectively were made on the 22nd March 2003. This report summarises the work completed by AngloGold Australia Ltd within the relinquished portions of tenure during the period 23 March 2001 and 22 March 2003. These include data compilation, aerial photography and detailed aeromagnetic/radiometric surveys, geophysical processing and modelling, regolith mapping and posthole RAB and Aircore drilling. Composite samples from the posthole drilling were collected and assayed, but a maximum gold assay was 9 ppb Au. None of the results were indicating that the relinquished parts of the license warrant further testing. |
