Abstract: | This report summarises exploration activities during the nine years of tenure. Work included sampling programs, drilling programs, ground magnetic surveys, berock analysis, geological and geophysical interpretations and targets generation. The area of the licence was tested for presence of kimberlitic pipes by RAB drilling but no kimberlite bodies were located. The gold mineralisation in the region has an association with a range of geological environments. Many targets for drilling have been selected for further investigations. The detailed assessment of the selected targets has been undertaken by a range of exploration techniques, but due to the very extensive cover of windblown sand the exploration has been difficult. The exploration has relied heavily on drilling and trenching. The area is going to be tested further under SEL(A)23661. |
