Abstract: EL 22173 Bush Turkey East and EEL 22714 Stake Range East were granted on the 5 September 2001, for a period of six years. EL 22173 and EL 22174 are located some 80 km north north west of the Tanami Mine. The prospectivity of EL 22173 and EL 22174 are enhanced by the nature of the majority of basement rocks in the region - potentially the older McFarlane Peak Formation (amphibolites, basalts, dolerite, volcaniclastic sediment, possible felsic volcanics, metagreywacke and schist). First year work programmes were put on hold within this region due to the scaleback of staff and the turmoil of potential takeovers. First year work involved remote discrimination of targets. The re-imaging of the worm data (multi scale edge analysis) did not extend to EL 22712 thus more conventional methods (eg available aeromagnetic data, geochemistry and regolith interpretations) were used to target anomalism. Areas targeted in the region were not within the boundaries of EL 22712.
