Abstract: The remoteness of EL 8433 from The Granites mill meant that the primary exploration objective was to identify a large (+1 million ounce) gold bearing system. The work that has been completed to date has given very little encouragement, either lithologically or geochemically to indicate the presence of a large gold bearing system. For this reason the decision was made to relinquish EL 8433. Work undertaken within EL 8433 comprised of: regolith mapping; helicopter supported gravity survey (1300 stations); ground magnetics for 250.4 line km; 236 rock chip (CRC) samples; 2035 lag samples; 3092 soil samples; 241 vacuum drillholes for 2,162 metres, 403 samples; 182 aircore holes 182 holes for 5,415 metres, 874 samples; 95 RAB holes 95 holes for 4,952 metres, 1648 samples; and 78 petrology samples.
