Abstract: | The report summarises work carried out within the Highland Rocks Project during the third year of tenure. Work included sampling programs, drilling programs and geophysical surveys. Drilling at Mankeeper intersected weak bedrock gold anomalism coincident with soil anomaly. The best result was 9m@ 0.856 g/t Au. Discouraging results were obtained form Skye prospect (12 m @ 184 g/t Au). However drilling of the Renton returned encouraging intersections including 3m @ 0.6 g/t Au and 6m @ 0.213 g/t Au. Soil sampling revealed a robust 1 km long 1.5 - 3.5 ppb Au trend to the west of the drilling. Work in 2002 will focus on assessing the Renton prospect, as well as other new targets. |
