First group annual report for EL 8738 - 8741, EL 8755 - 8758, EL 8817, EL 8824, EL 9157, EL 9295, EL 9268 - 9270, EL 9615 - 9616, EL 9831 and EL 9846 Southern Tanami Project for year ending 22 March 2002

Abstract

The report summarises exploration carried out during the first year of tenure. Work include previous exploration data reviews and compilation, geochemical surface sampling, aerial geophysical survey ( magnetic and radiometric), aerial photography and regolith mapping. Several interesting structure were identified during the review. A Lag sampling program was completed within Apertawonga South and Pedestal Hills. The best results returned from the sampling was 11ppb Au. The TM and Spot Imagery covering all of the Southern Tanami Project was purchased. A series of GIS maps were produced showing digital elevation models, paleodrainage features and distribution of regolith.
