Abstract: The report summarises exploration for diamonds, gold and base metals within the project tenements. In 1996 some low level multi element anomalism was defined from sampling programs. In 1997 sampling defined diamonds anomalies and 3 diamonds and 93 confirmed possible kimberlitic chromites were recovered. In 1998 work included geophysical survey and a sampling program. Five diamond anomalies were defined and three diamonds and numerous chromites were recovered. More detailed sampling is required to test these diamond anomalies. Base metal sampling has failed to identify a large coherent anomaly and is in response to the bedrock lithology. Six RC holes were completed within EL 6354 searching for diamonds and no diamonds and indicator minerals were recovered from any of the drill samples. In 1999 sampling program was carried out only on EL 9279 and returned not encouraging results for follow up. Work in 2000 and 2001 include reviews of Normandy previous exploration data and due to the lack of Rio Tinto ground access by the NLC, the company subsequently withdrew from the JV.
