First annual report for EL 8602, EL 9537, EL 9538, EL 9539, EL 9540, EL 9578 and EL 9761, 24 July 2000 to 23 July 2001, McFarlane Agreement

Abstract

Exploration activities during the first year of tenure include ground checking, regional helicopter surface sampling, ground based surface sampling and airborne magnetic surveys. Surface sampling program conducted within EL 9758 returned disappointing values, within EL 8602 the gold anomalous zone corresponding with north west structures that run through the region into the magnetic granite has been outlined. Peak assays obtained include 6.2 ppb Au, 4.2 ppb Au and 3.2 ppb Au. Results from infill sampling program within EL 8602 are encouraging. Sampling at EL 9537 produced interesting anomalism over recorded outcrop of granite near the contact of the Muriel Range Sandstone. Follow up is planned over this anomaly. Sampling within EL 9538, EL 9539 and EL 9540 did not produce any significant results. Rock chip sampling at Blackcat returned a few high assays including 7g/t Au. Geophysical surveys conducted over the area were apply for target generations. Further work is planned.
