Title: Second relinquishment report for EL 9431'Colt'; 13 May 1996 to 12 May 2001
Title Holder / Company: Normandy Gold
Report id: CR2001-0256
Tenure: EL9431
Year: 2001
Author: Harrison, S
Abstract: A further 85 blocks were dropped in April 2001, retaining a total of 12 blocks. Initial work completed on the relinquished portions of the licence included airborne and ground geophysical surveys, surface geochemical sampling and regolith RAB drilling. This work defined several prospects that were tested with RC drilling. This drilling failed to intersect economic mineralisation and reduced the prospectivity of the licence. Hence the decision was made to relinquish the majority of the licence in April 2001.
