Title: | 1st Relinquishment Report for the Western Tanami Project for the period 29 April 1999 to 28 March 2001 EL 8803 Syrene, EL 8999 Medussa, EL 8593 Nora |

Author: | Walter, M |
Abstract: | This report summarizes exploration on the relinquished part of the project area. Work included rock chip and soil sampling, RAB drilling program and ground magnetic survey. None of the rock chip samples collected from Syrene returned any gold mineralisation above 1ppb or anomalous multi-elements either. Drilling did not return any anomalous mineralisation. The drilling encountered extensive cover, particularly in the southwestern portion of the licence where interpreted paleochanel was intersected. It is now interpreted that the area south of the outcropping Nora Range is likely to be entirely Gardner Sandstone of substantial thickness and therefore not considered prospective for hosting Au mineralisation. |
