Title: EL 9581 Kookaburra, Final report on exploration for the period ending 16 April 2001

Abstract: Work included sampling programs, geophysical surveys, geophysical interpretation and modeling of the purchased digital datasets. Soil sampling program was conducted to follow up a weakly anomalous stream result of 6.5 ppb Au and returned a result of 9.75 ppb Au. Results from the rock chip sampling were disappointing, with the best value being 40ppb Au. Geochemical sampling in the north of the surrendered portion of the Kookaburra lease in 1999 returned the highest value of 24 ppb Au. The rock chip sample from the area returned value of 740 ppb Au. A geological interpretation was completed across the Northern Pine Creek leases using the detailed aeromagnetic and radiometric images and the airphoto interpretation. The aeromagnetic and radiometric images clearly delineated the different formations. Zamu Dolerite forms a distinct 'low' unit in the radiometric images and Gerowie Tuff forms a patchy 'high'. The are north northeast trending shears dominating the eastern side area, two of which form the interpreted area of the PCSZ (along the contact between the Mt Bonnie and Burrell Creek formations).
