Abstract: | Work included regional helicopter surface sampling programs conducted in seven areas (A, B, C, D, E, F G), regional vehicle access soil sampling program and infill soil programs at Hereford and Charolais. Results from the helicopter sampling returned over the western part of the area A show a west-north-west trend over two kilometers and the eastern anomaly appears to be related to a north-south drainage. Results from the area B and C were disappointing, but from area D show low order gold anomaly. Within the area E appears to be anomalism where there is an iron rich environment but not in every instance. Low level anomalism is associated within area F with some quartz outcrops and anomalism within area G appears to correspond with northwest structures through the region. Follow up sampling program at Bullock Paddock didn't return encouraging results. Anomalism outlined in the eastern margin of the first infill target, Hereford, corresponds with drainage in the region. At Charolais initial gold anomalism from the previous exploration was followed up and returned low level gold anomaly with peak value 1.3 ppb Au. The anomalism was associated with northwest trending structures through the zone. Four regions were selected for further testing and a northeasterly trend is evident in three of them. |
