Abstract: | Work completed consists of aerial photography digital elevation modeling, aerial magnetic, radiometric surveys, sampling programs including posthole vacuum sampling and RC drilling. Soil sampling results in year 1 outlined a semi-coherent anomaly in the north of the block with peak results of 470 ppb Au and 440 ppb Au. Several other spot anomalies including a 605 ppb Au were also returned. Vacuum sampling during the year 2 returned encouraging results, strong coherent anomaly in the south east of the tenement, with a maximum gold result of 170 ppb Au. A second spot anomaly of 915 ppb Au was returned. The vacuum based geochemical soil programs completed during first two years defined a broad low level (10 to 50 ppb Au) gold anomaly in the south eastern corner of the tenement. The peak of the anomaly presents itself as a narrow 25-75m corridor, which boasts results in order of 1 g/t Au. A blanket of up to 5 m of quartz-rich gravel was intersected in every hole drilled along this traverse. This gravel layer assayed up to 100 ppb Au. Below this cover all of the results were below detection limit. The indication is that the anomalous gold results defined in earlier soil sampling were alluvial in origin. |
