Abstract: | This report contains a summary of work done within the licence area during the four years of tenure. Work was aimed at discovering repetitions of Touheys South gold deposit (9,000 tonnes @ 8.4 g/t) which was extracted in 1993. Various sampling programs were undertaken. Rock chip sampling returned gold values from 0.21 g/t Au to 0.5 g/t Au, follow up ground magnetic survey did not outline gold bearing horizons. Apart from some pieces of iron, nothing else was found. Hand auger holes were dug but due to the depth of alluvium the holes did not reach any useful depth. 13 samples were collected for MMI and assayed for 25 elements. The MMI samples indicated a base metal and gold anomaly over the extrapolated strike of the Touheys Central zone. Work on the area did not succeed in locating any surface mineralisation but targets for future exploration were located. |
