Abstract: | This report summarises work completed during the life of the tenement including RC and diamond drilling airborne magnetics, soil sampling and Mobile Metal Ion partial digest methods with analysis for copper, lead, zinc, silver and gold. A new airborne magnetic survey data was utilised to identified and map the target Proterozoic Banded Iron Formations beneath Cambrian limestone cover. Follow up deep diamond drilling intersected gold mineralisation within the area (8m at 1.39 g/t Au - hole FEND14). Soil sampling program conducted proved that the Cambrian stratigraphy is the source of all the soil geochemical anomalies. There are still some opportunities to generate new drill targets, particularly near some of the deeper magnetic anomalies. The area is still prospective for BIF hosted gold deposit, but will require commitment for deeper drilling. |
