Abstract: | Four discrete magnetic anomalies were evaluated by modelling and two targets selected. These were further evaluated by ground magnetics and gravity surveys. It was concluded that the anomalies were sourced by a BIF and were diamond drilled with two holes. The occurrence of the BIF was confirmed but no base metal or gold anomalism obtained. It was noted that the alteration was similar to the Kintyre uranium deposit in WA, and it was considered that the tenement could have potential to host uranium mineralisation. Part of the tenement was covered by an aeromagnetic and radiometric survey which located fifty one radiometric and 6 magnetic dipole anomalies which will require follow up work. 10.9 line km ground magnetic survey 10.9 line km gravity survey 4500 line km airborne magnetic/radiometric survey. |
