Abstract: The area where the MCNs are located is considered prospective primarily for stratabound and stockwork gold mineralisation within lithologies of the Early Proterozoic Burrel Creek Formation. Exploration of the area is based primarily upon the GIGIAC concept, where gold mineralisation occurs in sediments of an anticlinal structure. The MCNs are operated as a collective project, and were included in various regional studies including a re-interpretation of aeromagnetic data, Landsat TM Imagery, published and available geological mapping and literature searches. Exploration proposals originally intended for this fourth year of tenure have been put on hold due to the poor performance of the gold market.
