Final report exploration licence 7973 Tawallah Pocket 5th April 1993 to 26th February 1998

Abstract

The tenement was initially evaluated by aerial photography and 16 stream sediment samples were taken, with one sample containing a microdiamond and another a chromite grain. Follow up sampling consisted of nine samples only contained a sample with a microdiamond. During year 4 of tenure a joint venture was formed with BHP who conducted an aerial Geotem survey of the 9 blocks then held. The survey identified the conductive Mainoru Formation of the Roper Group, but failed to locate conductive lithologies of the underlying McArthur Group sediments.
