Abstract: | 54 heavy mineral samples were collected in 2 phases. An initial program of 36 returned 5 samples with probable basaltic chromites and a possible kimberlitic garnet. 18 follow up samples of the garnet location were negative. A 100 l barrage sample also collected as follow up was also negative. An airborne EM survey was flown. Interpretation outlined s large bowl like feature with several subtle anomalous features. 5 anomalies were selected. 3 were chosen from ground follow up by TEM. 2 of the features were interpreted as a result of anticlines bring conductive material closer to the surface, while the remaining anomaly is regarded as surficial. 21 rock chip samples were collected. Most contained disseminated galena. Barite though not analysed was ubiquitous proximal to weak lead mineralisation. 16 stream sediment samples were taken returning anomalous Pb-As-Cd. Prospecting noted disseminated galena. |
