Title: Fourth annual report for EL 7710 for April 1996 Tennant Creek district.
Title Holder / Company: Adelaide Resources
Report id: CR1996-0373
Tenure: EL7710
Year: 1996
Author: Chambers, CD
Abstract: Work completed consisted of 22 vacuum holes (300m), 22 RAB holes (1218m) and 1 RC hole totalling 154m. The drilling targeting a geophysical anomaly (known as the Northern Magnetic anomaly) and 2 geochemical anomalies. Drill results from the geophysical anomaly suggest that the magnetic signature is due to transported material. The Eastern Geochemical anomaly returned from the initial 2 RAB holes a maximum value of 9m at 0.69g-t Au, 2250ppm Cu and 90ppm Bi associated with altered sediment and magnetite. Follow up along strike failed to intercept ironstone. The best values were associated with a shear zone, max 1m at 0.22g-t Au. 1 RC hole was drilled. This returned weekly anomalous values to a maximum of 1m at 0.36 g-t Au.
