Abstract: | The initial stream sediment was undertaken along the contact of the Tomkinson Creek Group and the Warramunga Group. This outlined an anomalous area within the licence (the Wren Prospect). Follow up highlighted two areas exhibiting base metal anomalism and two showing gold anomalism. Soil sampling of the drainage systems with anomalous base metal geochemistry was carried out. The results for base metal were considered typical of the lithology. An erratic and highly anomalous response for gold was obtained which warranted further follow up. Seven short RC holes totalling 470m were drilled. In general the results were disappointing. The down hole magnetic probe failed to locate any magnetic body off hole. Future work includes follow up to the two catchments with anomalous gold geochemistry. This work is to include soil sampling, followed, if warranted, by drilling. |
