| Abstract: | Reconnaissance stream sediment and rock chip sampling was undertaken by MIM in 1991, but the results were not considered sufficiently encouraging for follow up. A gravity survey over a regional gravity low in 1991 was followed up with ground electromagnetics which delineated an extensive conduction horizon. Drilling of the conductor in 1992 intersected an aquifer at the base of the cretaceous strata, above the Proterozoic basement. |
