| Abstract: | Follow work EL5443 confirmed that the recovered chromites were derived from a local unmapped basalt. The airborne survey flown over the central portion EL5441 showed that the area was relatively quiet. The kimberlite breccia being essentially non-magnetic. 3 areas were loam sampled from features delineated on air photos-results are unavailable. Work during the period EL5441 has confirmed the presence of 2 kimberlite pipes on the surface and at least 2 more are possible within the area referred as Grid 6 area. Over the central portion EL5441 a 10 x 10km airborne magnetic survey was flown-line spacing was 100m terrain clearance 60m. |
