Abstract: An orientation stream sediment program suggested a high degree of dilution and was considered to be an inappropriate marker for locating low grade or blend mineralisation. Soil sampling was completed in the Mountain Creek area and located some low anomalous base-metal values within the Kookaburra Creek Formation. Reconnaissance IP was completed over the soil sampling grid in the SE, with no significant response obtained. A trial gravity survey was completed over the Big Kahuna Mn-rich outcrop and indicated a significant fault structure associated with a distinct gravity low. Drilling a Mt Birch (EL 9185) failed to intersect significant base-metal anomalism, no further work is recommended for the area. Within the Mountain Creek area substantial soil sampling, RAB drilling and follow-up RC and diamond drilling was completed. Results obtained suggest slightly elevated base-metal concentrations within carbonaceous silt-stones of the Kookaburra Formation and are considered strata-bound. However, the mineralised zone is considered to be of low potential and further work should be concentrated in other areas of the tenement.
