Annual report on MCNs 3996 and 4031; year ending 20-02-1995

Abstract

This report covers all work completed by Acacia on the MCNs during 1994. MCN 4203 is entirely incorporated within MCN 3996 and is part of the same exploration programme. Therefore work carried out in MCN 4203 is also included in this report. In 1994 work involved geological mapping, costeaning and drilling. 2 costeans tested portions of the soil anomaly. Two zones of low grade gold mineralisation were identified in the southern costean. The best values correspond with a quartz vein set outcropping north of the costean. 5 RC holes totalling 290m were completed across the northeastern gold anomaly indicated by the 1993 soil sampling. Drilling intersected a narrow zone of low grade gold mineralization in quartz veins. Best results from drilling include 0.70ppm and 0.61ppm Au. A detailed mapping programme was completed revealing the structural and lithological controls of mineralisation.
