| Abstract: | This report documents six barite veins in the Kirrkimbie (or Kirrimbie) Yard area on Inverway Station. These were mined on a small scale in the period April 1971 to November 1972 by South Australian Barytes Ltd. Additional deposits have now been located in the same area. The resource documented herein consists of a number of steeply dipping veins which are comprised 95-98% BaSO4 (Barites) and 1-4% SrSO4. The reserve estimate is > 450 000t. |
