Abstract: Auger holes were drilled at 100m spacing to depths of 2m. Washing on site produced traces to an estimated 1.5g on alluvial flats but to 4g on higher ground. This gold was coarse and angular and was probably shed from the Frances Creek Mine. This indicated an excellent potential for large low grade alluvial mining operations of the floor of the valley. Further work recommended including costeaning and evaluation of alluvial potential.
