Abstract: | Airborne radiometric magnetic and radiometric surveys were undertaken over the licence areas. In EL3597 the radiometric response represents variations in lithology which is in the most part the same in EL4015 except at 335610E-8593580N where a reading of 90cps was obtained. The magnetic response in EL3597 shows linear anomalies associated with basic dykes along the Ranger Fault and a NE structure across the centre of the licence. The strong magnetic gradient in the south of the licence marks the northern boundary of an anomaly. In EL4015 the magnetic data is dominated by linear anomalies associated with NE trending dykes and the outcropping of the Oenpelli Dolerite. 404 stream sediment-soil samples and 41 rock chip samples were collected. A programme of geological mapping, radiometric prospecting and a Sirotem survey were also undertaken. These investigations highlighted 7 radiometric anomalies (A-G) of which anomaly G is the most prospective. Austirex flew an airborne radiometric-magnetic survey at 250m line spacing 80m clearance another magnetic survey was flown with 400m barometric level and 1000m line clearance plus radiometric data collected along 8 lines along the rim of incised valleys at a mean terrain clearance. A total of 1928.5Km were flown. |
