Abstract: This report contains result of geochemical sampling program for gold. The area under tenure is located on the western limb and axial zone of the Howley Anticline. Rock lithologies of Wildman Silstone, Mount Bonnie Formation and Gerowie Tuff are present in the area. The area was mapped at 1:10000 scale and samples were taken mainly for gold. Two grids (west and central grids) were established in the main target area. These grids were geologically mapped at 1:5 000 and 1:2 500 scale. The maximum gold values obtained were 0.6 ppm on the west grid and 0.4 ppm on the central grid. A small volume of gold, tin and tantalum-bearing gravel was also discovered in the main drainage south of the Cosmopolitan Howley mine.
