Abstract: | A summary of Cyprus' exploration to date is as follows: 1. Aeromagnetic Survey: A detailed (100-200 metre line spaced) aeromagnetic survey has covered the property and surrounds. There appears to be no direct correlation between known mineralization and positive or negative magnetic anomalies. A detailed re-assessment of the data will be completed in the near future in order to highlight useful structural information. 2. Gridding: A 4.8 km base line and 23 kilometres of grid lines have been constructed over the Faded Lilly, Alligator, Crocodile and John Bull areas. 3. Induced Polarization Survey: A gradient array chargeability and resistivity survey has covered the four prospective areas. Known mineralization at Faded Lilly, Alligator and Crocodile coincides with a 3000 metre long chargeability high. A sheared (graphitic) carbonaceous shale unit is the probable main contributor to the anomaly. (Apparent resistivity data for the John Bull and Faded Lilly areas have not been fully compiled and will be presented in a future report.). |
