Abstract: The work conducted on Exploration Licence 5707 so far comprises of a photo-geological and aeromagnetic interpretation only. It is recommended that reconnaissance bedrock drilling should be conducted to determine the nature of the regolith and over-burden. Soil sampling or bedrock drilling should then be conducted over the Exploration Licence, the approach taken being dependant on the results of the reconnaissance drilling. Photogeological examination of the tenement has shown there to be no outcrop within the E4L. No photolineaments have been observed. An airborne geophysical survey was conducted by Austirex between June and July 1984. The flight lines were spaced by 200 metres, with tie lines separated by 4000 metres. A proton precession magnetometer was used for data collection. This had a resolution of 0.1 nano Tesla, a cycle rate of 0.5 seconds and a sample interval of 30 metres. The aeromagnetic interpretation has delineated a large granitoid body and a number of east-west striking sedimentary units within the Exploration Licence. These rocks seem to have been affected by a number of NNW-SSE trending dextral fault.
