| Abstract: | A small programme of geological mapping, soil sampling and rock chip sampling was completed to cover portions of the Forscutt and Chapman claims which had not been included in earlier surveys. Areas of Koolpin Formation and Gerowie Tuff in the northwest of MLN497 failed to generate anything of interest. Rock chip samples taken along the line of the Eastern Reef in MLN914 and MLN915 commonly reported anomalous gold values in the range 0.10 to 3.10 g/t. An old shallow trench near the southern edge of MLN915 was anomalous over the full width sampled, averaging 0.36 g/t flyer 15 metres. A programme of trenching to test the Eastern Reef line is proposed at an estimated cost of $15,000. |
