Abstract: | This report summarises the results of a bulk sampling programme to test the viability of an area of eluvial workings very close to the currently operating alluvial mine at Wandi in the NT. The test programme was carried in November and December 1986. The area consists of one main hill (approximately 300 x 500 m) and three smaller hills. All four hills have low relief and all are covered by eluvial workings which date to the beginning of the century shows the outlines of these workings which roughly coincide with the edges of the hills, and the leases which cover them. The area outside the workings is covered by alluvial flats. |
