Title: Annual Report on EL 4757.
Title Holder / Company: Zapopan
Report id: CR1988-0384
Tenure: EL4757
Year: 1988
Author: Kose, C
Abstract: Much of Exploration License 4757 is covered with alluvium. Rocks of the Burrel Creek, Mt Bonnie Formations and Gerowie Tuff crop out in the area. Two anticlinal and synclinal structures oriented approximately 285 degrees are located within the license area. One of the anticlines is the Zapopan Anticline upon which the Zapopan and Faded Lily workings are situated. A geological map of the license area was prepared In September 1988. To locate any possible mineralised zones, two stream sediment samples, and seven rock chip samples from quartz veins, quartz float, alluvial scree and BIF horizons were collected and assayed for Au and As by fire assay and AAS respectively. Results from these assays did not return Au values higher than 0.01 ppm. However, sample no 12 which was collected from the alluvial scree returned 810 ppm As and sample no. 11 from ferruginous shale returned 350 ppm As.
